Professional Bio:
David is the Founder and Managing Director at AMAXXA, LLC. a consulting firm that specializes in strategic business advisory, leadership coaching, and talent development. From Financial Advisor to CEO to entrepreneur, David is a forward-acting business pioneer who always wants to know what’s around the next corner. As a financial advisor in the 1980s, he sat in an office with 60+ brokers who cold called clients to pitch the idea of the day. Armed with his CFP and experience at a private trust company, David built his business by doing financial planning for his clients and using advisory services for investment solutions. He often says, “there may have been three of us in the entire country doing business that way at the time!” The allure of management finally enticed him to go through Shearson’s management training program where he helped run one of their national training centers in Los Angeles and trained hundreds of brokers…with David's twist. He taught the idea of running a broker's business like a business and consulting with clients rather than selling to them. Then as Head of Advanced FA Training, a role created for him, David pioneered some of the first practice management and advisory training on Wall Street.
