Professional Bio:
Zahira (Zai) Class is a Senior Strategy Consultant with almost 20 years experience combined in organizational change, marketing and communications with roles mostly in the IT industry. Her career includes roles at Red Hat, Avaya, and Cisco where she has honed her craft in strategic execution and executive “whispering” to promote operational readiness and organizational change management. She credits her innate ability to build rapport with global teams and her thirst to learn everything about her client groups, as some of her strengths. In 2016, her work for Change Management Digital Transformation as a new Business to Business Service earned her a Bronze Stevie Business Award. Zai has completed degrees in Music and Business Management. And in her pursuit of ongoing learning, in 2019 she completed a Leadership Executive Development program at UNC Kenan-Flagler’s School. She is a member of the Association for Change Management Practitioners. Zai’s passion for working with women to achieve transformation has translated into speaking engagements and serving on executive boards for the last eight years. Currently as Secretary, Women’s Global Education Project, ATHENA of the Triangle Board as Co-Chair of the Emerging Leaders program and Communications Chair, and as president of Connected Women of NC.
