Professional Bio:
As CEO of CSR Communications, an organizational change consultancy, I help leaders understand and leverage the human, emotional reactions to organizational change so that they implement change without the pain.
I design our proprietary processes in strategic planning, change management capacity building, board development, and communications.
I created the Intrapreneurs Influence Lab, a hands-on change leadership program for intrapreneurs striving to make their organizations more effective, innovative, equitable, inclusive, environmentally sustainable, ethical, and socially responsible. In 2024, I created the Change Readiness Index, the only objective measurement tool designed specifically for nonprofit boards. It measures board member ratings across eight key scales of change readiness.
I spent a decade+ in consulting firms, leading APCO Worldwide’s corporate responsibility practice and then heading the D.C. office for Portland-based Metropolitan Group. Clients included UPS, Johnson Controls, Freddie Mac, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, American Public Health Foundation, and Annie E. Casey Foundation.
I served as executive vice president and senior advisor for social innovation at Grantmakers for Effective Organizations and led international grantmaking for the Steve and Jean Case Foundation, in addition to grantmaking and policy roles in national service and service-learning.
I was named one of Enterprising Women Magazine's 2024 Enterprising Women of the Year.
